What Does It Feel Like?
As the cooling begins during the first few minutes, you will feel pressure and intense cold like an ice pack. You will feel a light pulling, and pinching as your fat bulge is pulled into the CoolSculpting Elite applicator.This soon dissipates. Many people read, watch videos, work on their laptop, or even take a nap during their treatment **People who have had their treatments with the older Coolsculpt units rave about their pain free experience with us compared to their last treatment. The new applicators require less tissue to be pulled in is completed with 40% less time. The common complaints regarding ongoing numbness and pain is mostly attributed to the older machine technology and the newer models are much more efficient and the experience is much more pleasant.

How Long Is Each Session? How Many Sessions Will I Need?
When patients visit the plastic surgery practice of Dr. John Lee for CoolSculpting Elite in Philadelphia, they can expect each session to last between 35 minutes (exception is the Cool Mini for the chin and Cool Advantage for larger areas). We have two machines so if an area can be Dual Sculpt (both applicators running at the same time), we try to perform this method. Some areas like the abdomen are hard to Dual Sculpt since adjacent tissue can not be competing against each other to be pulled into the applicator. During the consultation, our technicians can provide the approximate time the total treatment will take. Depending on your body and your goals, multiple sessions may be required spaced out over several months.
Where Does The Fat Go? Are The Results Permanent?
Once the treated fat cells are crystallized (frozen), the fat dies and is eliminates excreted from the body. Once the treated fat cells are gone, they’re gone for good.
Is CoolSculpting Elite Safe?
The CoolSculpting Elite procedure is FDA-cleared for the flank (love handles), abdomen, arms, chin, and inner and back thigh areas. With over 7 million CoolSculpting Elite treatments have been performed worldwide. Are There CoolSculpting Elite® Side Effects?
Following the procedure, typical side effects include temporary numbness, redness, swelling, bruising, firmness, tingling, stinging and pain. Rare side effects may also occur. The CoolSculpting Elite procedure is not for everyone. You should not have the CoolSculpting Elite procedure if you suffer from cryoglobulinemia or paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria. Can I Return To Normal Activities After My Treatment?
Yes, you can. The CoolSculpting Elite procedure is completely non-surgical, so typically you can return to normal activities immediately. Often times, patients return to work after their CoolSculpting Elite session is over.
When Will I See Results?
You may start to see changes as quickly as three weeks after your treatment, and will experience the most dramatic results after two months. We recommend a second treatment to the same area one month after the first treatment for optimal results. But your body will still flush out fat cells and continues doing so for up to four to six months after treatment.
Do I Need To Take Special Supplements Or Follow A Strict Diet And Exercise Program?
No supplements or pills are required and you do not have to adopt new diet and exercise habits. Many patients feel more motivated to take care of themselves after their CoolSculpting Elite treatment.
